Christmas Beauty Presents ❤♡

Merry Christmas everyone!

I hope everyone had a lovely day. I spent mine with my boyfriend and stepson, and then we visited my Mum and Dad for Christmas dinner. A whole lot of Baileys, prosecco, roast potatoes and parsnips were consumed!

I was absolutely spoiled by James and my parents, so I thought I'd share my presents.

I'm a complete sucker for Lush products, especially Snow Fairy at the festive period, so you can imagine my delight when my mum had included this amazing set in with my presents.

In this set you get a shower gel, a bubble bar, body conditioner, and a bath bomb.

The Snow Fairy shower gel is something I purchase religiously every Winter, and I think it smells so so nice.  I used the bath bomb tonight which surprisingly turned green once it started fizzing, and I just love the feeling of how silky your skin feels after using it.

I would recommend getting something like this next year, but then again, I'd recommend tons of items in Lush as it's one of my favourite stores.

The Naked Skin concealer is hands down, the best concealer I have ever used. It is full coverage, and the formula is great. As soon as I had ran out I asked my mum to add it in as a present.

The Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion is also one of my favourite eye primers, and I much prefer it to any of Macs.

The Moondust palette was a first for me, and after swatching the colours, I wasn't overly impressed with every single colour but the green and pink are absolutely stunning. I would recommend buying this palette if you don't like using glitter but still want some more intense shimmer.

I have loved and wore Ghost for more than ten years now, and I still to this day, love it the same as when I first smelled it. I would say it's probably my signature perfume, along with DKNY women. I was so happy to receive this set from my Auntie, I didn't even know you could get sets like this.

It comes with a makeup bag, the original perfume and a miniature, body lotion, nail polish, lip gloss and a ghost candle!

If you're a ghost lover like myself, I would definitely try and snatch this up!

Winter Haul ❤♡

Hello everyone! xo

It's been so long since I've posted on my blog, I think it may even be a few weeks- a month.

October was crazy for me. I was trying to concentrate on posting lots of Halloween Makeup Looks. This was the first year that I had concentrated on having a beauty blog/instagram and I managed to get around 9 ideas up.

I had planned to post them on my blog but I had ran out of time, I may just post them next year as inspiration while I'm creating new ideas.

Anyway! I'm heading to London next week and picked up a few items from H&M, Primark and ASOS. My boyfriend has already texted me saying "who needs four hats?" but I just try and ignore that negativity (Haha!)

I absolutely adore Autumn/Winter, especially the outfits that come with the seasons. Hats, knitwear, jeans, boots and coats are my thing!!! It was also quite nice to stroll around Glasgow on my own today, not being rushed.

My favourite of all items is the fedora, which was from Primark. Originally it was meant to be £8, and its now on sale for £3. I was ecstatic! £3! I have bought dearer lunches than that! It fits perfectly, and I think it'll go with lots of looks, keeping you warm and adding a bit of winter glam to a warm coat.

I also picked up two bobble hats from Primark for £2 each, which I think is a total bargain. The black one will go with tons of clothing (especially since I wear black 90% of the time...) and burgundy is my favourite colour so I had to pick one up in that shade. I also bought a cute little black scarf from Primark, with some glitter at the bottom which I thought looked so pretty.

My 2nd favourite item is the cream hat with the pom pom on top. I was looking for one similar in Primark and couldn't find the one I had in my head.. After visiting H&M, I saw it and knew I had to have it. Perfect for going with more casual outfits and adding a little something-something to all the black I wear.

The last item was a ;pink polo-neck jumper from ASOS. This jumper is so cosy it's unreal. It's a nice fabric, it's really soft and doesn't have that itchy feeling you get with certain knitwear. It's a pale pink which is quite unusual for me, and they say pink should not be worn with pale skin and ginger hair, but hey-ho.

I'd definitely recommend all of these items. Xo

Zoeva Cocoa Blend Palette Review

Ok, so I must admitt, I am waaaay late on this palette. But after seeing it for ages, and never getting round to purchasing it, I finally bit the bullet in time for Autumn.

To keep things simple; I LOVE this palette. It has fast became one of my favourite eye-shadow palettes and I find myself picking it up every single morning.

Not only are the colours beautiful (a mix of matte and shimmer) but they are absolutely perfect for creating warm Autumn/Fall looks, with golds, warm browns, pinks and blacks.

I am so impressed by the fact this palette is only £18 on Beauty Bay. I think it's fantastic for the money, considering the eye-shadows are extremely pigmented, buttery and super easy to blend out.

My favourite colour has got to be freshly toasted as it's just such a beautiful warm brown colour and works so nice with a range of other colours. It really reminds me of MakeupGeek's cocoa bear.

I think this palette is perfect for creating a mixture of looks as it has your transition shade, warm browns for smokey eyes, pinks for a pop of colour, blacks to create a dramatic look and the prettiest gold shimmer to add some glam. It's the type of palette I would take travelling, and when I'm visiting London in November, this will be the palette for me.

I cannot recommend this anymore, it's such a stunning bunch of colours and a lot cheaper than other brands such as Urban Decay, Jeffree Star etc.

Space NK and Boots Haul. ♡

Last month I decided to splurge a little, after seeing that My Boots App had sent a few goodies.

I was sent an offer for 400 points, if I spent £20 or more in one single transaction. Please note that Boots regularly send these, and if you haven't already I HIGHLY recommend getting an advantage card if you're a massive beauty lover like me.

The women at the counter had gave me a few test foundations away to try, and I found that because I have acne, and I have combination skin (oily t-zone and dry/normal elsewhere) the beautifully matte worked best for me. Now I cannot recommend this foundation enough if you have similar skin to myself. I have tried loads of foundations from Maybelline Fit Me, to Illamasqua Skin Base, to Estee Lauder Double Wear and this is by far my favourite. It lasts all day, it never oxidizes, goes patchy or cakey. It is full coverage without feeling too heavy, and you get the added benefit of being matched to your true colour. Although, I decided to go two shades darker as I wear fake tan.

At the time, No7 were doing an offer where if you bought two No7 products you would recieve a beauty box filled with treats.

As I was buying the foundation anyway, I picked up the lip crayon in berry. I was so excited to try this, especially since Autumn is coming up and I love plum shades. Well, my excitement stopped as soon as I swatched it. The pigmentation is bad, but I gave it a try on the lips to see if it was any better but it wasn't. Trust me when I say, it's not worth the money. The crayon was almost transparent after a good few layers, when the light hit the middle of the lip it looked as though it has rubbed off from eating, and generally feels quite slimy on the lips.

The beauty box however, was fantastic! You received a voucher for £5 off your next purchase, a true match lipstick of your choice, a grey matte eyeshadow, a primer and a mascara.

The true match lipstick is great because it matches the colours that suit your skin tone. I was looking for a dark spicy coloured nude, and I chose honey bloom which has fast became one of my favourite products/colours.

The dramatic lift mascara is great, is wears brilliantly and I never get any smudges. It's quite a small applicator which is great, my only downfall is it's a sample size and quite hard to get to grips with, so i'll definitely be buying a full size one.

I really liked the airbrush away primer. I really did notice a difference in how long my makeup lasted and it feels so nice and smooth on the skin. My only fault is that it smells of the Dove tan/moisturizer  that I used to use as a teenager, and it brings back memories of being yellow/orange and not having a clue how to apply it without leaving streaks.

I've not used the eyeshadow yet, but no doubt I'll get round to it as it's such a versatile shade, especially for going on a night out.

So not only did I get a free beauty box filled with amazing beauty products, I received 400 points (the equivalent of £4.00), a £5 off no7 skincare voucher, a £5 off my next purchase over £30 and triple points because of a promotion that was running in store at the time too. I don't know about you, but I think I timed that pretty well. This is also the reason why I tend to shop in Boots a lot more than Superdrug etc.

I also picked up Nyx Vivid Brights Eyeliner in Vivid Bloom. I had originally wanted the light pink one but it was sold out, so I opted for this gorgeous purple pastel colour. It glides on like a dream and I'm definitely going to purchase the other colours in the range.

Last but not least, I visited Space NK to get Becca Costmetic's Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone. I just love these highlighters so much. They are without a doubt, one of the best ones I've ever tried, they feel buttery, smooth and are so highly pigmented it's unreal. If you have light/fair skin like myself, opt for moonstone as it's such a beautiful shade and really compliments lighter skin tones.

The Butterfly and the Pig Tearooms.

After trying a couple of times before, and being fully booked, my mum and I managed to get a reservation for The Butterfly and the Pig Tearooms in Glasgow, Bath St.

It's such a cute, little vintage themed tea room with old decor and fancy china. We opted for the afternoon tea with champers deal, which worked out at around £16 each which I thought was worth the money and more.

The bottom tier consisted of amazing sandwiches including tuna, egg, roast beef and cornation chicken. Surrounded by crisps too.

The middle tier (which, lets be honest, we are all interested in the most!) contained two out-of-this-world scones with fresh cream and strawberry jam, cupcakes, buttercream topped cake and a pistachio type sponge. Honestly, these were so bloody good, teamed with coffee and champagne, I was in heaven!

The top tier compromised of oatcakes, cream cheese and smoked salmon. Also delightful.

All in, it was a fantastic afternoon tea, especially for the price. There's always the option to take the champagne off for a cheaper alternative, and you can also get a pot of tea instead of a cappuccino.

As there's so much, you don't feel bad for leaving leftovers, as they provide you with a doggy bag of all the food you'd like to take home.

I would definitely recommend this restaurant for afternoon tea, it's cosy, pretty and the food is extremely tasty.

Lush Haul

So, a couple of weeks ago I decided I needed some beauty therapy so after raiding Boots, Debenhams and Space NK, I headed over to Lush for some pick-me-ups. So I thought after trying out some of these new products, I would review and deliver back to you guys!

1. Cup o' coffee face and body mask.

Oh. My. GOD. This stuff is the epitome of an amaaaazing scrub. I bought the smaller tub with the mindset of that if I liked it, I'd go and buy the bigger size. And let me tell you, I'll be buying the bigger one! It has fast became my favourite scrub EVER! It smells really strongly of coffee though, so if you can't stand the smell, then I'd stay clear. I usually smear a generous amount all over my face, go and have breakfast so it's resting and sinking into my skin for at least 20-30 minutes, and then once I'm in the shower I'll give my face a really vigorous scrub. I would say that, leave it until a day that you're washing your hair as the tiny particles can get into your hair line and they are a nightmare to get out. Once it's off your skin, it leaves it feeling so smooth and silky, yet tight too. I would 100% recommend this to everyone and anyone, most of my family and friends have been persuaded to purchase it.

2. H'Suan Wen Hua Hair Treatment.

I knew originally before I had entered Lush that I needed something to revive the shine in my hair and give it an all-over boost. I have recently stripped my hair having had it black for two years and getting from that, to my natural red/ginger colour has been really damaging to say the least. After speaking to one of the lovely assistants at the Buchanan Street, Glasgow store, he persuaded me to get this. It's got egg yolks mixed into the product, which helps restore the shine and moisture in your hair, and it smells so good. I lathered it all over my hair, and left it on over night for maximum results. It worked really well, although as said on the tub, for the best results you need to use it once a week for a while. Eventually I got sick of my long hair and cut off around 5-6 inches of dead, bleached, dried-out locks. My hair is in great condition now, and getting better each week with the use of this hair mask.

3. Intergalactic Bath Bomb

Bath bombs are bath bombs. But I'm a sucker for all things girly, like treatments, beauty products and I love nothing more than soaking in the bath with bubbles or a bath bomb. This particular bomb spreads out, with gorgeous blue, pink and purple colours. It leaves your skin so silky, and you can feel how smooth it is when you're relaxing in the bath. There are very fine glitters but they don't transfer onto your skin, thank god. There's nothing worse than getting a bomb with petals and stepping out to find they are all stuck to the back of your legs.

My every-day, go-to makeup.

I think everyone has a look that they automatically go for when picking your makeup bag up in the morning. And it's all about telling yourself "No, I'm going to try something different. I might push past my comfort zone and go for that white liner, or blue lipstick." Don't get me wrong, I'm not too adventurous. A lot of the time I'll see all these stunning girls who can pull of a certain bold colour and I know straight away I'd never have the confidence to wear it outside.

We all know what suits us, what colours compliment our skin, eyes or lips. I have a habit of going for a super simple, easy look but with still having a full face of makeup.

So above is my favourite "day makeup".

Because I have blue eyes, I like to compliment them with using golds, browns and bronze palettes. Urban Decay Naked or Smoky is usually what I use, but I'll tend to go for some Makeup Geek single eyeshadows for more pigmentation if I'm feeling more flush.

On a regular basis I use Illamasqua skin base foundation, and contour with the NYX contour palette. For my concealer, I like to use Nars as it's amazing! But if I'm a little on the poor side, I'll always have Rimmel's Super Stay on hand. I currently use The Balm Mary Lou Highlighter, which is a golden colour but if my makeup is slightly lighter, I'll use Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector. I cannot recommend this highlighter more.

Lips are always a nude/pink. My skin is quite fair, so I always feel too white when wearing a really light nude. So I opt for a nude with pink tones. I always reach for either Mac Lovelorn or Brave which is slightly darker, Nyx Liquid Suede in Tea and Cookies or Sleek Makeup's Birthday Suit. I just find that these colours compliment my skin tone the most and are super easy to apply.

On average, it takes me about half an hour to do my makeup. As someone who loves to wear a lot of product to work etc, I've actually cut my time down. I get too carried away with listening to music and taking my time. (Eyebrows aren't the quickest!)

Blackpool Day Trip

If you're like me, and you adore theme parks then you'll love Blackpool.

Ok, Blackpool itself is very tacky, the city seems pretty outdated and visiting there feels like stepping back into the past, but that's why I love it.

Since my gran lived there, I have loads of childhood memories of visiting, I even remember going to sleep as a kid and hearing people screaming as they went down the roller coasters.

I went with my friend, Jillian. We got the train from Glasgow, with a quick change over at Preston. All in all it took about 4 hours to get there which isn't too bad. We arrived around 10, before the park opened so we decided to walk along the front and sit at the beach. The weather was amazing, we couldn't have asked for a better day to stroll around.

I hadn't been to Blackpool in about 5/6 years and there were a couple of new rides there which I couldn't wait to try out. We pretty much went on everything. I'd say if you live in the UK, it's one of the best theme parks here. I much prefer it to Thorpe Park as I don't think there's enough rides there, and with everything that happened in Alton Towers recently, I was slightly put off in going there.

You've got plenty of roller coasters (which is my favourite type of ride) although some need to be updated because I was literally in so much pain as The Grand National jerked around corners.

The upsides were the fact it only costs £21 for wristbands online which I think is a pretty good deal for a whole day. The food is reasonably cheap, so it's easy to grab a quick bite and it's not extortionate like restaurants and shops in Disney. There are plenty of rides for all ages, and if you don't like theme parks but come as a family, you can purchase a non-rider wristband.

The downside was that we booked it on the day that the EU vote was taking place, so it was schoolkids galore, which I usually wouldn't mind as much but since they were all there for the bigger and better rides, the queues were a nightmare! Oh, and I was dragged on Valhalla which I bloody hate. It's alright if you're in a roasting place like Florida and welcome the water, but walking around Blackpool with frizzy hair, wet trainers and feeling uncomfortable wasn't my favourite...

It is a really good day out though, and I'm going back next month with my wee brother since I've been promising to take him for aaaages.

Coconut Oil

I'd be surprised if you haven't heard all the hype about this wee pot of glory.

I had been researching the benefits of coconut oil, and found so many things that it's useful for so I headed down to Holland & Barrett as they are currently using it in a promotion.

Reasons to purchase;

  • It's really great for your skin, e.g. getting rid of acne, blemishes, scarring, spots, and generally moisturising.
  • It's packed full of "good fats" which means it encourages weight loss and is so much better for you than cooking oil and butter.
  • It can be melted down and used as a hair mask/conditioner/treatment.
  • It improves your health, and digestion, immune system and hormones can be boosted.
  • It can clean your teeth, reduce staining and leave your mouth feeling fresher.
  • It makes for a fantastic eye makeup remover, especially if you have sensitive skin.
I bought this on Thursday and since then I have been using it for removing my eye makeup, and including it in my skin routine at night.

Last night I filled a bowl with boiling water, added 2 teaspoons of coconut oil into a glass and sat it in the bowl for a few minutes, when I came back from taking the dogs out, I dampened my hair, and then smoothed the oil into my scalp and combed through. I left this in all night, washed it out this morning and my hair felt less frizzy, less damaged and it worked as an amazing deep conditioner.

I've used it for frying, I've used it for my nails, I've even gave my dog a spoonful every day and he loves it. (It's beneficial for dogs too)

I've noticed a difference in his coat, especially. He has less dandruff (which shows up more because he's black) and his coat is shiny, soft and silky.

I'm going to keep it up for a month and report back with my results. Already I've seen small improvements and hopefully I get even better results after using it consistently.

Update

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't wrote a blog post in a while! I've been super busy with work, home life etc.
Buuuut, I have ordered a few new items to review on here so those posts should be coming within the next few days.

I'm so excited to try another Morphe Brushes palette and I'm looking for a new foundation with a heavy coverage without being matte.

We'll see how it goes!

Until next time.

10 things you need to do at Disneyland Paris.

1. Disney Dreams

Disney Dreams is the firework show at Disneyland Paris. It is on every night, times vary depending on what season/time of week it is. I'd say it was my favourite part of Disney even though there are so many memories. It's emotional. It has brilliant water shows, fireworks, songs to sing along to, graphics and fire. It's truly amazing, and I don't think videos can show you how good it is in real life. It's an absolute must.

2. Ride The Tower of Terror

The Tower of Terror is famous at Disneyland. It's a plummeting hotel lift with ghosts and an amazing view of the park. I was desperate to try it, and it did not disappoint. The decor is outstanding and the ride itself is stomach dropping. It's not for the faint-hearted though, I'd stay away if you're not good with heights!

3. Watch the Parade

The Parade is another obvious choice, but it truly is spectacular. See all your favourite characters dancing around, and watch the sets come to life. My personal favourite was Toy Story, Peter Pan and Tangled. I'd advise to get there early for a spot though, and don't stand behind the crowd because people will literally not care if they're blocking your view and standing right in front of you.

4. Have an American Breakfast at Annette's Diner

Bacon, eggs, sausages, tomatoes, beans, potato sticks, pancakes with syrup, coffee and orange juice. I cannot stress how good it is! We were staying at Disney's Santa Fe hotel and it was always continental breakfasts so on the second last day, we couldn't wait to get a cooked breakfast. The staff are lovely, it was such a quick service and the place is so pretty inside, decorated like a 50's diner. I highly recommend this restaurant.

5. Visit Sleeping Beauty's castle

The castle is an iconic feature of Disneyland, but inside is so beautiful. There's a dragon guarding the castle in the basement, and if you venture upstairs you can read the story in mosaic windows and storybooks. After that you can wander outside and look down on the park. It's one of my favourite parts of the park.

6. Stay at Disney's Santa Fe

Disney's hotels are really expensive, and if you're looking for somewhere cheaper to put your head down at night, Santa Fe is the one. It's a lovely hotel though, designed like a drive in movie, with New Mexico apartments. We were given breakfast each morning but decided to try the tex-mex themed buffet for dinner one night and we were so surprised! I thought it was by far the best buffet, and you get so much selection and it's worth the money.

7. Watch the car stunt show

I'm not the biggest fans of cars, but when you're on holiday you make the most of it. I was taken back by how much I enjoyed the show, actually. They keep it entertaining, different stunts, different stories and it definitely gets your attention.

8. Watch the Jedi Training Academy

It's all about the wee ones fighting with Darth Vader and learning the way of the force. I'm a massive Star Wars fan so I jumped at the chance of viewing it. I went in with the idea that it was just a mediocre little show, but in fact it was great. I only wish I was 8 years old again and could get up on the stage!

9. Ride Space Mountain

Another first for me, and I couldn't wait. Sadly we couldn't convince the wee one to go on it, but I managed to ride it twice during our visit. I adore theme parks and will go hunting for the tallest, scariest ride, so this was right up my street. What I will say is, when you're waiting to shoot off into the pitch black, make sure your head is resting on the back of the seat or else you'll end up with major whiplash. Such a great ride!

10. Have fun and let your inner child out

I'm obsessed with Disney, so you can imagine how ecstatic I was when I found out my boyfriend had booked 5 days as a Christmas gift. All I can say, is just enjoy the experience. It is such a magical place, it feels like you're in another completely different world. We're hoping to book a holiday to Florida for next year and it couldn't come quick enough!

Unique Avenue and New Look.

Hi guys!

So it was my birthday two weeks ago, 21 yay! (In denial...) and since I got mostly money from family etc I thought I would treat myself to a few new items.

The first was these gorgeous Ariana sunglasses by Unique Avenue. Glasgow had been unusually roasting, but typically once they arrived the sun disappeared.

I'd like to say speedy delivery but to be honest, I was quite disappointed. I'd seen a few people commenting on their instagram posts about the glasses, and customer service advisors for the company had informed it would take 3 working days to arrive. Naturally, I bought them that night and expected them to be here in a few days.

I eventually messaged them to ask where my parcel was as it didn't have any tracking information on their website to what I was informed "3 working days". When I asked if that was after my questioning, they replied "yes". That's it. Just yes. No explanation, and the only thing I can think of is maybe they were pre-order but nowhere on the website mentioned that. I feel like I was really misinformed, I may have bought from somewhere else that did next day delivery because let's face it, loads of boutiques have similar styles.

They are so pretty though, mirrored, rose gold and I feel very hollywood when wearing them. The legs seemed quite slack when they arrived though, so I had to tighten the sides which you wouldn't really expect when they're new.

All in all, I would recommend the sunglasses, but perhaps not the company. Not until they start advertising pre-orders and being a bit more professional.

My second purchase was this off-the-shoulder top from New Look. As soon as I seen it on their website I was in love, and it was under £20 when I signed up to their newsletter for 20% off.

The colours looked very vibrant and when it arrived, I was not disappointed. A mixture of blues, purples, pinks and orange, it's the perfect summer top. The delivery came super fast, I never returned any of the items (what?!). I was so happy with everything.

I wore it with black, ripped, skinny jeans, nude pumps and a nude handbag for meeting the girls after work. We went to Sloans for dinner and drinks, then won the pub quiz.

I'd definitely recommend buying this top! It's so comfy, pretty and can be worn in a lot of different ways.

Today's Makeup Look

This morning while I was getting ready for work, I tried two new products that I had picked up yesterday while shopping with my mum in Glasgow.

I had overspent this week so I was looking for something bargain priced.

The first product I picked up was Sleek Makeup's "Matte Me" in Birthday Suit.

This was actually my first purchase by this brand. My problem is the matte's sometimes irritate me when they're too dry, but I love the way they look on and the small creases they create on your lips. Think Angelina Jolie, back in the day.

I was actually presently surprised with this product. Not only do you only need a tiny bit, but it's one of the best matte's I've tried because it doesn't leave your lips completely stiff. The colour is a mixture of pink and nude tones which makes it perfect for wearing during the day, but also at night. A noticeable shade for after work drinks with the office girls.

The second product I picked up is Collection's Precision Colour Lip Liner in Chocolate.
This was such a bargain, I'm sure it was under £3. It's just a standard lip liner, nothing special but it does the trick and it lasted all day. It's a slight shade darker, making a nice contrast when using it with the lip cream. I need to watch with certain browns/nudes because I'm quite pale, and this lip liner doesn't scream drag when applying.

I'd certainly buy both products again, and I'll no doubt be wearing it during office hours again as it lasts quite long despite my numerous lattes!

N e w  P u r c h a s e s

Like every other girl, I love spending money when I have it on amazing makeup brands like Urban Decay, Mac, Becca etc. But not all of us can afford to buy them every month. I have a select few items that I only wear on special occasions like a night out, a wedding or meeting up with friends for lunch.

I recently bought a few new products to try. Despite being cheaper brands, I found these were pretty good. Here's my verdict;

1. Collection Contour Kit (Highlight & Sculpt) - I find it really difficult to find a cheaper highlight as I'm constantly comparing it to Becca Moonstone, but I actually think this is a great little contour kit if you're on a budget. A lot of highlights I've used have only added a slight shimmer but if you're like me and want to see the light bounce off your face like a giant moon, I'd definitely recommend trying this palette. I have fair skin and the bronzer is a perfect shade to add definition without looking dirty.

2. Maybelline Super Stay 24h Concealer in Light/Beige Clair 2 - Finding a concealer that doesn't leave cakey residue under your eyes is a hard task, but this one marks the spot! I've been putting it on in the morning, coming home from work without having touched it up and it's still in place. I use it to contour under my eyes and my t-zone. A perfect coverage, which is important to someone like me that suffers from acne.

3. Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker in Coral-My-Bluff - I've actually tried this lipgloss before but in different colours. I LOVE the nippy feeling. My lips are quite big anyway but I have noticed a slight difference in size after applying this product. I wanted more of an orangey shade without being an oompa loompa. An added bonus is that is smells of chocolate orange! Definitely one of my favourite lipglosses.

4. Nyx Retractable Lip Liner in Nude Pink/ Rose Diaphane - Out of all the products I tried, this was my least favourite. After NYX arrived at Boots in the UK, I was desperate to try it out. I have a slight hatred for matte despite loving how it looks, I just hate the dry feeling and that ugly ring you get after a few hours of wearing. I found with this lip liner, you have to get the hang of applying it, as sometimes it breaks off. Once on it's ok but it still has that stiff feeling. Not a big fan.

5. Nyx Liquid Suede in Tea & Cookies - I know, I know, I just stated that I wasn't a massive lover of matte based lipsticks but I like to have a selection that I can then choose to use clear lipgloss or vaseline on top of. I'm a sucker for pink lipsticks, no matter how many I have they're never the same shade. This lip cream was only £5 which is a bargain. You only need a tiny spot so I'm guessing it's going to last a lot longer than my go-to-lipstick (Mac Lovelorn)

So there you have it, my favourite was number 2, it's such a great product and the quality works well with my skin.

Thanks for reading my first ever blog post!
